午前中は庭の草をむしり、時間を過ごす。
丁寧に草を取り除く行為は、狭い庭でも面倒なもの。
だからといって放っておくととんでもなく茂ってしまうので、暇を見つけては庭で土と向き合っている。
嫌いじゃなけど、楽しいとも言えない、複雑な心境の作業なのである。
そんな作業も今日でとりあえず終了宣言。
もう秋だし、来春までやらなくて済みそうだ。
でも喜ぶのはまだ早い。
もうじき大量の落葉に悩ましくも対応する日々が始まるのだ。
